Newsletter To Include Links To Videos
The New Mexico Apple Web Site will be visiting orchards around the state and video taping and taking pictures of the various aspects of apple growing. One of the first series will include apple harvest practices and pest prevention. This will be closely followed by a visit to Tooley's Trees in Truchas, NM. We will watch as Gordon Tooley shows us how to graft scion wood to rootstock to keep favorite old world apples in production. He will also show us how to select tree root stock and apple varieties that will grow in different climates in New Mexico in addition to planting practices to insure tree survival. Those interested in purchasing trees grown at Tooley's orchard can visit a link to his web site by clicking here.
Newsletter To Include Links To Slide Shows
The New Mexico Apple Web Site will be placing slide shows with audio on the various aspects of apple growing. Some computers have a difficult time streamlining video formats so all video formats will also be done in a slide show presentation.
For Both The Commercial Grower,
Small Scale Growers
and People With only One Tree
The New Mexico Apple Web Site will be for all segments of our growing community. It will be designed for the commercial grower as well as the small scale grower and people with only one apple tree in their back yard.
